i think the title to this post is so true. we are experiencing it now and, it’s definitely a good thing. this month is pretty slow for the most part. a couple of shoots, some meetings, a NEW WEBSITE, new business cards, and maybe a little publication? {shhhhh it’s coming soon!}
i’m used to being glued to the computer. my eyes bleeding from editing and emailing back and forth. it’s always a great break to be able to breathe for a little bit. we’ve been running full speed since november of 2009 and this month it’s like we’re speed walking 
don’t get me wrong, i’m not complaining! i love being able to soak it all in and be a little more focused on the world around me. justin and i have gone to the park, hung out at home, had lunch dates…it’s been so relaxing!…it is kinda funny i’m talking about taking breaks while i’m blogging this. oh, world wide web.
as i’m enjoying this month’s little break, towards the end of the month and getting into april is going to start full speed for us again. more meetings, family shoots, weddings, engagement sessions, you name it, we’re doin’ it! and, i’m so thankful for everything that has happened thus far. our amazing clients/friends, family have supported us like no other. my wonderful husband that’s kept me grounded and told me when it’s time to PUT THE LAPTOP DOWN! and everyone who has helped us during this crazy ride! we love you!

on another note, i’ve been thinking a lot about inspiration lately. and, it’s easy to compare yourself to others in this industry. to think you’re not as good as another or you are a horrible blogger {which i am}…with that said i’m trying to limit myself on the photog blogs/sites i look at – for my own sanity. i try to get inspiration from everyday life, art, music, breathing, and everything else. and, i never want to recreate someone else. i want to be me. i want my work to represent me and how i see the world, how i see couples and families. i don’t want to be something i’m not. i’m never going to say “fabulous,” frankly because i couldn’t pull it off {even though i kind of wish i could}. i’m not going to pretend i’m an amazing writer. i’m not going to act like this journey is easy, because it’s not…but it’s sure as hell worth it. as i’ve had this little break, i realized there’s nothing better than just being yourself and laying everything on the table for people to see. the good, the bad, the horrible writer. everything.
i’m just going to be me. and, i hope all of you reading this are going to be you, too.
i got this stamp yesterday. and i think it’s awesome! it’s resting on some yarn {i cannot knit for the life of me} that’s going to be used for my new packaging for clients. i’m pretty excited about it
